Lots of fun. It does make you wonder how a stop-motion animated clay dog can be a more convincing actor than 90% of Hollywood. Would go well on a double bill with The Corpse Bride.

I'd heard rumblings that this was a PETA project? Any truth to the rumour?

As an aside, my daughter enjoyed it quite thoroughly.

Wood is good!

The subtle point here is the mean face: without it, Reeves would be on par with a wooden plank, except a bit more rigid

Hmmmm. An interesting thought. Gromit has put Wallace is on a vegetable diet - although Wallace still sneaks the odd wedge of cheese here and there. The one named cheese Wallace eats is Stinking Bishop, which turns out to be vegetarian. The heavy is an incompetant hunter who is portray as masculinity-challenged. Googling for "Wallace Gromit PETA" finds an number of film reviews that describe the movie as "PETA-Friendly" or similar phrases. But I could find no explicit reference linking the movie to PETA. I didn't look all that hard, though. Perhaps.

Yep, thoroughly enjoyed the movie as did the children. I particularly liked Victor, "played" immaculately as the villain. Better than King Kong is likely to be !

We loved it. The many subtle references to the life and times of my youth were a delight to me, even if lost on mrs llamas. I suspect that Nick Park and I are of-an-age.

There's a good book out which shows the making of the movie, and which will even-further amaze the viewer as to the complexity of doing this.

We're still waiting for Doom. My kids don't really care for the kiddie stuff, thankfully.
