"A Lancashire man whose house has a chilling reputation for poltergeist activity claims he is being haunted by text messages from his dead wife, the Blackpool Gazette reports."

Can you hear me now?

A few months after my father passed, there were some email spam programs that would send out spam email with forged headers that made it look as though the spammed account had sent the email.

This greatly disturbed my mother when she received a spam email on her MSN email account with incoherent text that had my father's name as the forged "from" address.

I'm still not sure whether she fully understands my explanation to this day. And yes, I'm sure you can guess what I would willingly do to email spammers if in my reach.

I'm convinced, in all seriousness, that email spamming reflects a state of psychopathology. A normal person could not bring himself to annoy thousands of other human beings with what is widely regarded as antisocial behavior merely to sell to that one person in ten thousand who actually responds to the spam.
