Wow. There are some interesting comments about Ralph Nader in that thread. I am entirely inclined to believe most of them, which means I probably shouldn't. It does seems similar to something on another thread: Bureaucrats have nothing to lose by banning things. (Or by making them mandatory.) They can only lose by allowing people to use judgement.
