I always counter that humans are also the only animal which bakes bread and ferments beer from grain, so what's the point? IP: Logged

setnahkt Member	posted 05-14-2005 06:46 PM Lots of birds, cowbirds and cuckoos for example, are nest parasites, dumping their eggs in other birds nests to get them to raise their young. Many seabirds, frigate birds and skuas for example, make their living buy chasing other seabirds until they regurgitate, then wolfing down the result in midair. Numerous carnivores will steal another carnivore's kill if they have the chance. Lots of insects have internal parisites that slowly eat them from the inside, saving critical organs for last. Acanthocephalan worms have a glue organ that seals a female after they mate, so other males can't compete. They will sometimes do this to other male worms - a premptive strike, so to speak. if PETA likes the animal world so much, let them provide a home for bot flies, Guinea worms, and jigger fleas. Haven't seen many foxes protesting for hen rights. No lions attacking other lions to protect gazelles. IP: Logged
