And, yes, I know that is painting with a very broad brush and does not apply everywhere. I am in the process of dealing with a chain of command that cannot get jack done because they will not make a decision. Lanier is about a 90 degree difference, she's just an idiot. And makes stupid as policy. I have been (forced) watching this moron try to run the DC police force since she was inaugurated. It has been very ugly. Which is why the idea of reintegrating the non-federal portions back into MD/VA sounds like a great idea - but neither state wishes the mess.
