In fact, if memory serves, it's naturally found in almost any dairy product except fresh milk, and contributes part of their flavor. IP: Logged

Of course, there's no particular reason why a "natural" substance can't cause illness. LaneH Member	posted 05-07-2007 12:38 PM             Part of the issue is the mechanism of exposure - Milk products tend not to be volaile, powdered diacetyl is. It is not the first time that lung disease can be attributed to a common harmless chemical Route of exposure is critical.
