I was somewhat surprised to find that I wasn't too different from the average test taker. An review from this week's Science (18 May 2007) discussing Moral Psychology notes that political liberals tend to see morality as about harm to others and fairness to others, while political conservatives, while not necessarily scoring lower than liberals on measures of harm and fairness give substantial weight to considerations of ingroup loyalty, respect for authority, and "purity". (I put "purity" in quotes not because I'm critical of the concept but because it's hard to define).

Interestingly, non-westerners tend to score a lot more like Western conservatives than Western liberals. This surprises me a little; I suspect it would really surprise a lot of Western liberals.
