Uhm, not really. The Brady Campaign was associated with a statement that they did not post.

Quote:
Caroline Brewer, Director of Communications with the Brady Campaign, told us she "guaranteed that's a fake photoshopped screenshot of our page" and that "we did not post that ad and have no affiliation with it."

Sounds like Snopes eventually got a response on them about the screen shot.

There seem to be two different questions:

1) Did the Brady Campaign produce the ad or did someone else do it and falsify their logo?

2) If the Brady campaign did produce the ad, did they then remove it from their Facebook page or did someone else photoshop the screen shot?

I can't imagine the Brady Campaign being stupid enough to do an ad like that. Then again, I couldn't imagine the exploding schoolchildren climate change ad, either.

So far I haven't seen any careful analysis of the graphics to show how and where they first showed up and who posted them. Should be doable.

I can see the Brady Campaign being that stupid. Or at least that desperate.

When's the last time the anti-gun left made any headway? When's the last time they had a success commensurate with the effort they expend?

It's been a long time. About twenty years I'm thnking since, in my estimation, the Assault Weapons ban is their highwater mark.

Since then? Nothing and plenty of distinct losses. That kind of thing's liable to color one's perceptions and make what, in retrospect is a pretty stupid idea, look good. At least until the fan is hit.

Did anybody else see this Jesse Ventura video, on a show with presenter Piers Morgan? 4 min 24 sec.

Not sure what to think about the supposed Brady ad, screen cap, or org's denial. I wouldn't put it past them to make it, then deny it; I also wouldn't put it past someone else to make it - as a joke, or as a malicious dig gainst the org - and use the actual Brady logo, either in ignorance (because they thought it wouldn't go viral,) or out of spite. My confusion may all come down to this being 'birds of a feather.'

If you have a radical, over-the-top movement, and you want to find a different movement that looks as much like them as possible, a good bet is to look at their ideological enemies.

Brady Campaign is stupid enough to do this. One of their board members, Jo Peterson has the stupidest blog in the world about gun control.
