I tend to agree with Lane. I haven't seen anybody offer proof that the Brady campaign created the ad; shouldn't be too hard to do. OTOH I haven't see the Brady campaign offer proof that stuff was photoshopped, which shouldn't be too hard to do either. Maybe everybody's stupid.

Wouldn't photo-shopping be the same process as creating a legitimate ad from scratch?

Without the original file, nothing is 'provable either way'.

Hmmm, at this point, the source of the screen shot has more credibility with me than does Brady Campaign or Snopes - who are just repeating Brady Campaign's denial that the ad appeared on their Facebook page.

I'm currently of the belief that some Brady Campaign twit saw the ad and put it up on their page briefly before someone slightly smarter spotted it.

Yeah, I wondered if that was a possibility as well.

Once again, there are two questions - did the Brady Campaign create the ad, and was it posted on the Brady Campaign Facebook page? The Brady Campaign claims it did not create the ad, and the supposed screenshot of it on their Facebook page was photoshopped. Thus, the answer would be yes, you would use Photoshop or something similar to create the ad in the first place. However, making the ad appear as if was posted on the Facebook page would leave traces that could be picked out (mismatched pixels, for example).

Ah. I wasn't even thinking about the screen-cap of their FB page.

Its known that Brady Campaign did not create the ad. What's still in contention is whether they put it on their FB page.
