I had to share this after it came across my desk yesterday. According to international authorities and industry and non-governmental organizations, the definition of a microbead is:

Plastic microbead: Any intentionally added, 5 mm or less, water insoluble, solid plastic particle used to exfoliate or cleanse in rinse-off personal care products.

Just think about that size limitation for a few seconds. I even asked to make sure they weren't missing a decimal or had accidentally used the millimeter acronym instead of the micrometer acronym (mu is harder to find in Word since it's a symbol). But I've been reassured that the definition is correct. Yep, half a centimeter is considered by these idiots as a micro-something. I think something that size might hurt in a facial wash. Not to mention making it impossible to pump onto your fingers.

Between all of the whining about the election (and Brexit) and this, my faith in humanity is waning.
