It voids your computer warranty.

Well, OK, not a computer, a Mac.

why my warranty didn't cover the repair and was told it's an OSHA violation.

Some help with thieves who use ignorance of environmental and safety regulations to commit. A set of color pictures of the problem. Then take a picture of the individuals making the claims. Tell them that your first step is to send the picture CONSUMER REPORTS. The second step telling them of the plan discussion with the local federal prosecutor for a RICO conspiracy. Ask if they have competent personal attorney.

It is just barely imaginable that it is an OSHA violation. The burden of proof is on the employer to prove employees are NOT exposed to a hazardous atmosphere. Of course, if tht were taken literally, all of us would be wandering around in supplied air at our jobs. It would certainly make football or ice hockey interesting to watch if all the players had to be connected to an air hose.

My keyboard needed a good beer cleaning. There is a Farside cartoon in there someplace.
