Welcome to the Notesoft web site.
This site is home to two products. The first, reFuel, is available now. Our plan is for the second, AgMon, to stick its nose into the market by the end of 2010. Our legacy products [1] will be reconfigured and re-released as freeware on a time-available basis.
reFuel is a fuel management program, designed to help large* fuel users minimize their losses due to pilferage, spills and mechanical inefficiency. It uses the data you probably already track for bookkeeping purposes. If you're an industrial fuel user and would like to have better control of the cost, then reFuel may be of interest to you.
AgMon is a QA/QC program for the aggregates industry. (The first versions of AgMon were all single user programs, with no server/network capacity ... but they have been part of winning a disproportionate number of Quality Producer awards!)
Both reFuel and AgMon are designed to serve multiple facilities within a company, via ordinary Internet connections.
There is a static [2] demo of reFuel which you can access by using the remote opening file located here. Download and double-click on the file called "Static_demo_opener.fp7" to start. You must have Filemaker Pro v8.5 or later installed to use this. If you don't have Filemaker, download the free Filemaker demo as your first step. (Windows or Mac.)
Questions ... comments ... drop us a line. After the first contact, we can shift to telephone, or whatever is better for you.
* Large fuel users - optimally, with dozens to hundreds of fuel-using machines and on-site fuel tanks.

Notesoft is the home of reFuel ... a hosted, fuel management tool.
You know how much money your company spends on fuel. But do you know how much you should spend?
• How much is wasted by under-performing equipment?
• How much fuel is actually delivered?
• How much fuel is lost due to leakage or pilferage?
reFuel, by Notesoft, is an electronic fuel expense manager. It can help you minimize your fuel costs by squeezing useful information out of your fuel transfer data. There are many ways, including the use of paper forms or some computer programs, to collect fuel use data. reFuel is a better way to make sense of it. Without reFuel, or some hours (or days) of brain-numbing analysis, fuel management systems are little better than an adding machine with a paper tape. With reFuel, you can contain the cost of fuel losses, which you otherwise might not even detect.
With the click of an on-screen button, reFuel sorts your entries, computes results and then generates reports which:
1 Reveal the efficiency of your equipment during the work period - allowing you to note how machines compare with one another and how efficiency changes over time. Beyond the fuel cost factor, efficiency tracking can help you catch maintenance issues before they become expensive maintenance issues.
2 Presents an orderly listing of fuel disbursements, from your tanks to your equipment - and from your vendors. Vendor costs, based on supplied unit rates, are also displayed. This makes reconciliation easy.
3 And, then reFuel generates a dynamic fuel-level report which simulates how fuel levels go up and down in your tanks during the report period. This makes it possible for you to discover pilferage and leaks - especially from mobile tanks - which you might otherwise not detect.
It takes a lot of work to turn data into information. reFuel does that work for a few dollars a day.
There is no five digit software purchase, and no setting up a new server with the personnel, software and equipment costs that implies. You use your copy of Filemaker Pro® to engage reFuel over an Internet connection and we take care of running the server, doing the backups and keeping everything up to date. We do this for a low monthly charge which depends on the number of machines that are managed.
It takes a few hours to learn how to do the data entry and generate the various reports. It takes minutes to see the value of the reports.
A series of screen-shots is located here. This should give you some idea of how data is put into the program and the action required to get the reports out. Contextual help is built into the program, so there's little need for printed guidance when you using the actual program. But for demo purposes, and because some people just like the feel of paper in their hands, some help-docs are located here.
You may access the static [2] demo by downloading the auto-launch file and double-clicking on it.
Yes! There is a live demo available. So that you can get the best benefit, we will set up the live demo so you can use your information. In fact, if you have the base information [3] needed about your fuel-using machines, your tanks and your facility locations, we can import that, cutting the initial manual data entry to almost nothing. Then, if you decide to subscribe, you're ready to go right away. There is a qualifier. Setting up this live demo is a non-trivial cost for us, so we try to ensure that the user of the demo is reasonably likely to become a customer.
Contact us to discuss setting up your live demo of reFuel. If you use a lot of fuel, we can help control the cost.
(The demo requires that you have Filemaker Pro v 8.5, or later, installed on the machine(s) you plan to use. If you do not have FMP, you may download the demo version of that program for your system from this site.)

Available this fall!
Our plan is for the demo of AgMon - a hosted, QA/QC tool for the aggregates industry - to be up and available by fall of this year.
(The demo requires that you have Filemaker Pro v 8.5, or later, installed on the machine(s) you plan to use. If you do not have FMP, you may download the demo version of that program for your system from this site.)

[1] Other products including: Pallet-Picker 2, Permit Tracker, ScanKeeper, the One Man Office, the deScrabbler, Bunch o’ Checkbooks, and others.
[2] We call this a "static" demo because the data is fixed. However, you can navigate through the screens that are accessible with guest-level access, which allows you to view and print reports but not to change or add to the data. This data has been transformed from a real data-set created by a real user.
[3] To do this, we do need to receive the information in one of the common formats, e.g., MS Excel, tab delimited text, or any of several others. Send a note to inquire.
